Back to School Icebreaker SPARK PE Class Activity
Start by introducing yourself to the class and explaining that the activity will help them to understand and remember some rules and routines for your learning space. Then have students line up as quickly as they can in alphabetical order by last name on the side of the activity area.
When you signal, the students must find a partner and stand back-to-back. Then instruct the partner pairs to walk around the activity area for a set period of time while discussing what it looks like and sounds like when people are showing “responsibility” in PE class.
Then gather the group around the whiteboard and create a T-Chart to compile their answers under what they “see” and what they might “hear” when someone is being responsible in PE class.
