Presentation summary: Studies confirm the role safety plays in learning outcomes which can impact a child’s life journey. While there are many ideas and theories on improving school safety, it is imperative that evidence-based best practices and solutions are the focus and criteria. These measures are proven to enhance school safety without inherent risk or unintended consequence often associated with unsubstantiated methods or products that are untested. Through the implementation of best practices, academic leaders can create the safest learning environments possible, helping prepare our future leaders for success.
