School Specialty is extremely honored to assist Louisiana’s Livingston Parish Public Schools with a $10,000 supplies credit for their relief and recovery efforts following a series of floods which recently devastated the region.
As part of the Louisiana Flood Relief Donation Program, our School Specialty team led by Account Manager, Gina Guarino, quickly jumped into action to give a helping hand to the impacted district. The timely, tangible and meaningful support will enable Livingston Public Schools to get back to their primary focus of EDUCATING STUDENTS! The SSI donation, in the form of a merchandise credit, will give the three damaged schools more flexibility in choosing what products best meet their unique needs.
Social Responsibility Matters
“We are very happy to be able to give back to the Livingston school district during this time when they are striving to put back the pieces together in the aftermath of such a disaster, and ensure that all students are able to learn and have the required tools to realize their full potential,” Ms. Guarino commented. “It has been especially rewarding for our team when we see the smiles on the students’ faces knowing that they’re able to return to their classrooms and simply get back to the routine of life. Assisting and inspiring others; creating bonds; and striving for the extraordinary are just some of the key tenets of School Specialty. We will continue to lead the charge in helping our neighbors in time of need.”
The SSI Account team has been working closely with Livingston administrators and teachers to strategically leverage the School Specialty relief contribution. Our SSI Leads have been particularly driven to share the team’s vast experience from past Louisiana hurricane relief efforts, including Katrina, for the district’s rebuilding initiatives. Whether that includes designating assorted supplies and curriculum materials; replacing and installing furniture and equipment; providing our industry expertise in Instructional Solutions, Art Education, Physical Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Science, and Security; or partnering on other value-added initiatives such as group funding, classroom adoptions and teacher perks.
With more than 110,000 educational products from the most trusted brands nationwide, including Crayola, 3M and Elmer’s, as well as SSI’s own proprietary offerings such as Abilitations®, Califone®, Childcraft®, Classroom Select®, Projects by Design®, EPS®, Frey Scientific®, FOSS™, Premier™, Sax®, School Smart®, Sportime®, and SSI Guardian™, Louisiana schools have a comprehensive resource for everything education.
