    Opportunities for Building Character Education in Physical Education

    Character education is an important part of how students learn a culture and climate of kindness and the world around them. Throughout Physical Education class and at recess, students can practice respect for others, responsibility, and good citizenship.

    Consider choosing a specific character trait to focus on each class period, ensuring to comment on student successes in those areas and emphasizing activities that help them to practice. There are activities, educational games, webinars, and short videos to specifically emphasize character building.
