Real Teacher Tips for Creating Reusable Classroom Materials

Lamination is a simple concept, but many teachers love their laminators because it helps to keep classroom materials safe, even when passed through the hands of several students. We asked teachers how much they love lamination, and they offered their opinions and some great ideas for making reusable classroom materials. Check out these fun and helpful teacher comments:

    Reasons Why Teachers Love Lamination

Laminating classroom materials is one of the most cost-effective ways to avoid constant re-printing and waste of paper. These teachers had lots to say about the reasons why they love lamination.

“Laminating is a teachers best friend!!! It doesn’t talk back, never wets its pants and warms your hands on a chilly day!!! “ – Martha M.

“Laminating save money for me. It allows me to reuse some of the materials I spend good money on.” – Cathy C.

“Everyone I know knows that I love to laminate everything. It saves on having to remake school projects, signs, etc. I even bought one for my grandsons teacher a laminator because I couldn’t be without mine for too long.” – Ramla W.

“I work with children who have special needs and I love to laminate everything! It just makes me feel good that laminating makes thinks sturdy and I can use them for a long time.” – Carla C.

Clever Ways Lamination Creates Reusable Classroom Materials

Using lamination to make classroom tools and games not only saves paper, but also time. Instead of spending hours at the printer making the new worksheets and task cards, consider laminating. These teachers had some creative ideas for using lamination in their classrooms:

“It expands the longevity of my decorations and instructional activities . Students are able to work on laminated activities (learner centered activities) using Expo markers.” – Alessanda S.

“Once you laminate things you can hot glue them to cinder block walls and they stay all year!! And laminated task cards last class after class.” – Jess J.

“In the classroom we do a lot of charting, practicing, etc. and having laminated sheets that we can use dry erase markers on is AWESOME and saves money from making so many copies; in addition, it saves time from standing at a copy machine.” – Deanna B.

“ Being a Kindergarten teacher, laminating is a necessity and saves you money because those little ones can be tough on the things you use daily. It protects the posters, decorations, centers, student work, name tags, artwork, etc to name a few.” – Danielle K.
