We’re dreaming of lazy summer days in the European countryside, thanks to student artist Alberto Gomez’ latest piece, Mi Casa. Alberto created this piece when he was an 8th grader at Union Ridge School in Harwood Heights, Illinois. Alberto enjoys art because he can use many colors and techniques to create his work and the creative process involves “much more than only learning facts.” Featuring top-notch composition and color saturation, Mi Casa is an example of one-point perspective that directs the viewer’s eye down a shaded dirt road, past purple-blue trees and rolling green hills, up to a bright blue sky complete with wispy summer clouds.
Alberto joins countless other elementary, middle school, and high school artists whose watercolors, oil paintings, pastel, mixed media, and 3-D art has been featured on Sax catalogs and other marketing materials. We’re thrilled to promote these inspiring works and look forward to discovering even more student talent.
