    Student Artist Spotlight: Katie Burdett

A puddle of perfection! Artist Katie Burdett created Drip Drop Freezey Pop, a linoleum block ink print with Speedball® ink, as an 11th grader at Howard High School in Ellicott City, MD.  The piece, submitted by her art teacher Sarah Manger, succeeds in transporting its viewers to the sweet Popsicle® days of summer. A well-rounded artist, Katie was also a member of her high school’s cheerleading squad and cross country and track teams at the time this piece was created.

    Student Artist Spotlight: Katie Burdett

Drip Drop Freezey Pop is one of many pieces of amazing student artwork to be featured in recent Sax marketing materials. Katie’s works created in a variety of mediums by elementary, middle school, and high school students around the country. Click to see some of the inspiring work we’ve highlighted on our catalog covers, social media channels, and other materials over the years!

Sax helps YOU inspire the artist in EVERY student! Join us in celebrating your students’ inspired artwork by submitting it for consideration for a future Sax catalog cover – if selected you and your student will both win a Sax gift certificate! Entering is simple – just email an image of your selected artwork to artshare@schoolspecialty.com
