School Specialty® and the College Football Playoff Foundation® (CFPF) share a common goal to improve educator resources and provide children with better learning opportunities. This mission is supported by both organizations through CFPF’s Extra Yard for Teachers® program. Recently, we headed to Ponderosa Elementary School in Houston, Texas, with tools and supplies for a modern media center makeover!
Ponderosa Elementary School is a PreK-5 school in the Spring Independent School District. They strive to be a “campus of choice known for high quality academics with innovative and specialized programs that meet the needs of all students in a positive learning environment.” School Specialty and CFPF hope to help them embody this vision by providing an engaging new media center designed to fit their specific needs.

This media center makeover is just one of over 50 collaborations between School Specialty and CFPF across 13 states. School Specialty and our Projects by Design® experts worked with the school to design a space that best supports their needs. Our goal is to complement the school’s style of teaching and learning with a contemporary, welcoming space that drives outcomes.
This new learning space, featuring flexible seating options from our Classroom Select® proprietary furniture line and over $1,000 in general supplies, is just one more step in School Specialty’s mission of Transforming More Than Classrooms.
